Lea's Bio:
Lea Marlene is the Artistic Director and Founder of Lea Marlene Actors Studio and The Namastage Theatre established in 2013. She specializes in the Meisner Technique, a two-year conservatory style training that gets actors and non-actors, out of their heads and into their hearts so they may be connected, compelling and authentic in life, on stage and on camera. Since 2020, Lea has moved out of the black box theatre and into the world by teaching all her classes and private coaching classes entirely online.
It was after a battle with cancer in 2010 that made her pivot from being a professional stand-up comedian and actress to business owner. In her own healing journey, she had developed a deep desire to pay forward the powerful tools that have saved her life. That has become her life mission.
With this calling to serve, she has helped many people book starring roles, live a life of purpose and have healthy, life-giving relationships. She has produced and directed several shows, graduated numerous Meisner Technique classes, produced sold out play productions, stand-up comedy, film and theatre, both in Denver, CO, and Los Angeles, CA. She also served as a Casting Director and Co-Producer on the award-winning Independent Feature Film Small Town Remedies. She loves teaching because she has a keen eye for talent, and she knows how to truly help people remove impairing blocks keeping them from utilizing their gifts and talents at an optimal level. Lea also invented the revolutionary Actasana Technique whereby yoga and meditation is integrated into the acting curriculum. The feedback from how well The Actasana Technique works is remarkable.
Lea has a lot of wisdom to impart. She can truly help you wherever you are on your journey. Her dedication, open heart and skill set will help you reach your personal and professional goals so you may live a life you love, and love the life you live!
