The Future of Critical Thinking in a Menu-Driven Workplace
Are we losing our ability to think? In a world dominated by digital options, it is human nature to follow the cues. We look to dictionary.com for definitions. We punch addresses into cell phones. We turn to Google for everything else. But what is this doing to our thinking? The lure of turning all decisions into menu-driven options is dulling our senses, taking the edge off our critical thinking, and discouraging our creativity. So how do we re-think the way the way we think? How do we get those around us to solve problems when the answer can’t be found on the screen in front of them? How do we adapt when the obvious or easy answer isn’t a click away?
Join author Robert Wendover for an exploration into why this is happening and what you can do to cope with its effects on your business. If you’re managing people you’ll walk away with practical ideas for fostering problem solving skills among those too dependent on menu-driven thinking.
